Kofi Annan needs to resign immediately.  Not only Kofi Annan, but all those beneath Mr. Annan responsible for the Blue Line, and UN Forces.  The reason is that he and they are responsible for the deaths of their own UN soldiers due to incompetence & lack of leadership.  It is clear from the email sent by the Canadian UN soldier to his Canadian Command that all were aware that Hezbollah had been active in their area.  Furthermore, Hezbollah got 13,000 rockets placed within Lebanon during the years the UN was to be functioning in Lebanon.  Mr. Annan and his cohorts chose to continue their $$$ scandals while all this was going on.  Had Mr. Annan and his cohorts cared about the UN Forces deployed in harms way, they all should have been screaming bloody murder before there were any.  Mr. Annan should have informed UN membership what was going on in Lebanon with Hezbollah and acted.  Instead Mr. Annan continued his scandalous behavior, said and did nothing resulting in the deaths of his member troops.  Now he has the gall to demand an immediate ceasefire!  You're late for work, Mr. Annan.  He refused to resign over the scandals, however it is obvious now that his behavior has cost the lives of those he was supposed to protect.  His resignation should be immediate, and until he steps down the US and others with people serving in the UN Forces should censure him and refuse further payments to the UN.  Mr. Annan is as guilty as Hezbollah, and should be seen for the criminal he is.

Each year many of our young people go through the rite of passage known as GRADUATION!  We have parties, excursions, and wish them all the best of luck.  Many go on to college.  Many into full fledged illegal alien status and all the problems that come with it.  The reason this is occurring is that regardless (there is no such word as irregardless, by the way) of the legal status of the parents, many migrants never apply for color of law for their children and our education system never requires it.  Many come to this country illegally while infants, survive the odds and end up in our school system.  They grow up here.  This is all they know.  Their graduation is a big dump job into society where they are left to fend for themselves.  Some go to public rallies supporting illegals and carry signs, by golly.  Some get gang raped so they can get welfare benefits, otherwise known as siesta checks.  Some of our esteemed County level Social Services never investigate teen pregnancy because many are from incest and they don't want to open a can of worms.  This is my suggestion.  As part of Welfare Reform and Immigration Reform, how about making it Federal Law that failure to apply for color of law for the children of immigrants is to be guilty of child abuse by their parents and prosecutable.  Any child in the school system needs to present forms for application of color of law, or documentation of being under color of law.  Children graduating without this will be considered abused by the parents or legal guardian and those individuals will be persued for enforcement and punishment if found guilty.  Well, many immigrants are too poor.  They would have years to comply, and many earn $4000 to $5000 a month and use BancoMex to wire it to Mexico, while collecting welfare benefits, food stamps, and medicaid.  Many receive huge income tax refunds because they claim all their relatives living in Mexico as dependents.  If they do not invest in their children, the US Govt needs to start dinging their paychecks and IRS refunds.  And while we're at it, taxing illegal paychecks for the cost of their illegal children in our school system isn't such a bad idea.  They want rights?  Show them this one, the right to pay taxes.

Did you know that employers with gross earnings of $250,000 or less can use tips to offset the minimum wage requirement?  The required Federal signage that must be posted in the workplace actually shows an example of how the wages can be calculated.  It shows total wages earned and collected tips.  In the example, the tips are half of the wages earned.  It shows the wages earned as half and the tips taking up the other half of the total equalling the full minimum wage required earnings at the going rate.  It states that at no time is less than the minimum wage to be paid to the employee.   HERE'S THE JOKE:   Employers are only paying half the minimum wage amount to their employees when they claim employees are able to collect tips.  This is what I mean...if the minimum wage is, let's say for the sake of figuring, $6.00 an hour and I work 40 hours a week, that equals $240.00 a wk or $960.00.
Instead, my employer does this:  Pays me $3.00 an hour to equal $480.00.  Employers then claim the tips, which are normally not what was actually earned but totally hypthetical in nature (real hard to pay family needs with).  Let's say they quote tips of $300.00 a wk.  This totals $1200.00 and I would be issued a net check after taxes for 0.00.  Let's say they quote tips of $300.00 a month for an example.  They take the $480.00 deduct the $300.00 tips, deduct taxes and still issue a check for 0.00 net.  Democrats want to raise the minimum wage.  So who get's the $$$?  If one calls your state employment commission one is told, "We know this is going on, but there is nothing we can do about it.  It is FEDERAL LAW that is being broken, and until the FEDERAL GOVT does something about it nothing will change.  In the example I gave the employee earned $960.00 for the month and received actual tips for the month of, let's say, $200.00 @$50.00 wkly for total taxable earnings of $1160.00.  Less taxes of, let's say for the sake of figuring only, $160.00 that leaves a net of  $1000.00.  According to the law, the employer can offset the $1000.00 by the $200.00 to that leaves $800.00 due the employee...and the employer actually paid them 0.00.  The next time you go to a restaurant, count the number of tables, and the number of sitting customers.  Figure an average of $6.00 a plate ordered (we are being generous) and figure operating hours at 8.  Multiply daily gross earnings for your restaurant.  We will use a total seating of 15 spots and a total daily gross of $720.00 a day. Now calculate for the year (using being open 7 days a wk for 360 days a yr, allowing slow days to offset busy ones) one would earn a gross annual of over $259,000. 00 and would be ineligible to use the offset.  One can easily see that this law was made for small mom&pop establishments.  However you will discover huge chains with huge earnings still ripping off their employees nationwide and no one is doing anything about it.  Even DEMOCRATS that want to INCREASE the MINIMUM WAGE to "help the poor".  My suggestion to you is this:  if you are one of the ripped off losing wages to your employer, contact the FBI, give them your employers name and a copy of your wage statement.

Illegal aliens using your Social Security Number to work under falsely, may use several numbers during his/her stay in America.  They work for years and SSN accounts show lots of money paid into the system.  This is called a windfall.  This illegal reaches retirement age and decides to collect benefits.  They are assigned a non-number by the Social Security Admin.  Someone in SSA takes the former illegal's list of employers and bogusly used SSN's and pulls out all those earnings and credits the non-number.  Then they begin collecting SSA retirement or SSI benefits.  This is called paying out more than was collected.  Some are able to obtain SSA benefits, because they present a Puerto Rican birth certificate (which they obtained for a bribe).  Calculating welfare benefits is also interesting.   A US citizen with 3 children earning $500 a month working part-time receives less money that an illegal alien with 3 children earning $500 a month working illegally part-time.  The reason is because the illegal's income is considered excluded with only a prorata amount allowed for the children, while the citizen's entire income is countable against the grant ceiling.  The illegal would not receive any allowance for her needs in the computation, but the ceiling amount for the 3 children less the prorata earnings equals MORE cash aid to the working illegal mother. 

The World War II Geneva Convention has now become the code of the day in 2006, thanks to the Liberally loaded Supreme Court.  Name, rank, and serial number?  Uniform?  or is it a knock on the door with a search warrant and rights read?  While members of our Supreme Court sort the grey areas and points of law and rights, we are having a real problem with people who want to annihilate us.  You can hold your "peace and love" signs if you want, but these people will still want to destroy you given first opportunity...AND it is opportunity they are deadly set on getting.  Our special ops teams go into harms way at great risk, and obtain individuals for valuable information.  Some of these, who wish to destroy us, are particularly blood thirsty and have been taken out of commission via Guantanamo.  This is a GOOD thing.  So, to our Special Ops guys who have been bringing these homicidal maniacs in...maybe you can get rid of the legality problems some insist on creating by not bringing these nutcases in afterall.  Name, rank, and serial numbers, or warrants and miranda rights will no longer be issues.  Since we ARE at war, Mom says you get five minutes, stay covert, and alive.

The "make love not war" crowd continues to filter the news, and the Liberal Left mantra is the by-line on every story printed or read.  Rome lost its cultural uniqueness as an empire.  Rome built temples with  idols to "The Unknown God" for fear of offending anyone.  Rome fell.

For decades we have "been there and done that" in some form or another.  The battle cry of the Liberal Left is:  "We can do it better!"  New ideas, or recycled old ones?  No one appears to know, not even Democrats holding political office.  Meanwhile, terrorists plot our demise.
